After Run – London to Paris EV Rally 2023

(updated 30-07-2023 : Schedule has been updated – At the depot of The Big Lemon buses between 12:00 and 13:00 August 5th for a test.

Due to mechanic failure just before the London to Paris EV Rally I am going to do it on my own, as some of you already know.

Some would even like to come to tthe made up Pre-Event and other would like to see me in Brighton, which I am very gratefull for.

The Schedule :

Friday, 04-08-2023, 07:00 – 10:00 : Getting the DFDS ferry Calais-Dover. (Check-IN closes at 10:50, local time). Taking one 15 min charge stop into account.

Friday, 04-08-2023, 11:50-12:20 : On the DFDS ferry. 12:20 is local time.

Switching to local time, UK.

Friday, 04-08-2023, 12:20 -13:00 : At Dover a 30 min charge stop.

Friday, 04-08-2023 13:00-15:00 : To camp site – Old Cople Lane, Crystal Palace Parade, London SE19 1UF, UK

Friday, 04-08-2023, 15:30 – 16:00 : To ‘The Steam Engine’ pub/hostel – 41- 42 Cosser St, London SE1 7BU, UK .

Friday, 04-08-2023, 16:00 – 19:00 : Made up Pre-Event party at ‘The Steam Engine‘ or at the ‘Imperial War Museum’ nearby.

Friday, 04-08-2023, 19:00 – 19:45 : Going back to camp site – Old Cople Lane, Crystal Palace Parade, London SE19 1UF, UK. Getting a good night sleep.

Saturday, 05-08-2023, 07:00 – 08:00 – Driving to the Start, one 30 minute charge stop included. Westminster City School – 55 Palace St, London SW1E 5HJ, UK.
I will not probably park there, but rather ‘drive by’. A very short stop to reset the milage and take a photo of it. Then contiue, passing the Big Ben.

Saturday, 05-08-2023, 08:00 – 12:00 – Leg 1, London to Brighton , L2PEVR 2023.
After/At arrival I will take a photo and show it in Rally chat.

Saterday 05-08-2023, 12:00 – 13:00 : Arrive at The Big Lemon depot for a test, before I am allowed to continue the After Run rally.

Saturday, 05-08-2023, 13:00 – 20:00 – Due to the Pride Brighton and Hove the After Run rally Finish location has been moved to : Stanmer Park Nature Reserve. This location will become the made up ‘E-village’. With quite a few people attending, which I like very much. Tom was thinking about to let me do a test. before continuing the After Run rally ?

Saturday, 05-08-2023, 19:00 – 22:00 (something) Driving towards NewHaven to board the DFDS ferry Newhaven-DIeppe.

Saturday till Sunday morning, 05-08-2023 22:00 – 06-08-2023 05:00 : On the DFDS ferry to Dieppe. Trying to get some sleep, somewhere, some how.

Switching to local French time

Sunday 06-08-2023 05:00 – 08:00 – Disembarg, driving to Dieppe, Green Beach and eat something, getting awake.

Sunday, 06-08-2023, 08:00 – 16:00 : Driving the Lews – Off the highway – route to finish in Paris. Lot’s of things to see and to enjoy.
